In Review – Butcher & Catch

Broomhill’s latest open plan kitchen born from a desire to create a space where the experience is just as important as the food. Butcher & Catch source the best local quality meats served up and delivered with a true taste of Sheffield.

With a stripped back wooden interior matched with bold colours the attention to detail cannot go missed, a trend that will stay prominent throughout your visit. Its name reflects in the menu as your mouth will start to water on the very glimpse of the appetisers followed by the Meats (Butcher), which then delightfully blends through to the Seafood (Catch). Supporting local businesses and farmers, Butcher and Catch source all their products locally but most importantly sustainably. Whether it’s a dash of Hendo’s in its Bourbon BBQ sauce or fresh Sheffield made cheese, the menu showcases the very best quality of products while also sizzling in the glory of some of Sheffields greatest Independents.

Each dish that arrives before you, does so perfectly plated creating a visual that will accompany your taste buds as they jump for joy. Although meat features heavily on the menu, Vegetarians shouldn’t completely be discouraged from visiting. Butcher & Catch offer a small but inspirational section of their menu to offer veggies a moment in foodie heaven. Now you have your vegetarian friends persuaded its time to sort the kids. The kids get the best deal of the night as they tuck into a perfectly crafted main, side, dip, dessert and drink for the mouthwatering price of only £4.

If the food hasn’t tempted you enough Butcher & Catch also offer a vast drinks menu again showcasing some of Sheffield’s finest products. With an extensive wine list and spectacular looking cocktails Butcher & Catch’s drink menu does nothing but complement the restaurants eye to detail. If time is on your side, between 12-6 Monday to Friday, Butcher & Catch offer an early bird menu of 2 courses for £12 or 3 for £15. Booking in advance is advisable as hoards of Sheffielders are already experiencing the joys of good honest locally sourced food.
